How we research and write

1. Who writes our content

Articles and guides are written and reviewed by the SaccoShares team before publication. We do not publish AI-generated articles without human research, review, and editing — every piece is checked by a person against its sources before it goes live.

2. Our sources

We draw on:

• SACCO annual reports and audited financial statements, the same sources behind our SACCO profiles.
• Published SASRA guidance and regulatory thresholds for licensed SACCOs.
• Applicable Kenyan law, including the Co-operative Societies Act and its regulations.
• Direct experience running the SaccoShares marketplace.

Where an article states a figure, rule, or threshold, it reflects the source available to us at the time of writing. Rules and figures can change — always confirm current requirements with your SACCO or SASRA directly before acting.

3. What our content is not

Nothing published on SaccoShares is financial, legal, or investment advice. Guides are general information to help you understand SACCO share transfers; they are not a substitute for advice from your SACCO, a qualified adviser, or legal counsel.

4. Corrections

If you spot an error in an article or guide, email support@saccoshares.org with a link to the article and what looks wrong. We review the report against our sources and correct or update the article where warranted. Corrections to SACCO financial figures follow the process in our Data Methodology page.
