FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about buying, selling, payments, and verification.
Is listing my shares free?
Yes. Every listing starts with a 7-day free trial with full visibility. After the trial, a small M-Pesa subscription (KES 20/day, KES 100/week, or KES 250/month) keeps the listing visible and unlocks buyer contact details.
Does SaccoShares complete the share transfer?
No. SaccoShares connects buyers and sellers; the transfer itself is completed by the SACCO under its own by-laws. See our How It Works guide for the full process.
How do I know a listing is genuine?
We check that listing fields are correctly formatted, but we do not verify that a seller owns the shares they list. Always confirm the seller's share balance directly with the SACCO before agreeing to anything. Full detail in our Verification Policy.
Where do the SACCO financial figures come from?
From each SACCO's own published annual report or audited financial statements, reviewed by our team before publishing. See Data Methodology for how each figure is sourced and defined.
How does payment work?
Seller subscriptions are paid via M-Pesa STK push directly from your phone. Payments are non-refundable once access is activated, and subscriptions do not renew automatically — you pay again when you want to extend visibility.
Can buyers see my phone number?
Your contact details stay masked until you choose to respond to an inquiry, or until a buyer sends one with their own contact details attached.
What if I suspect a listing is fraudulent?
Contact us at our contact page or email support@saccoshares.org and we'll review it.
How do I delete my account or data?
See our Data Deletion Instructions or the rights section of our Privacy Policy.
